The Project 51 concept is the brainstorm idea of entrepreneur and Realtor Kenneth Tan to empower his team to fulfill his vision of giving back to the community. Initiated in 2011, Project 51 commits to donating 51% of the team’s real estate commission to established non-profit organizations, to facilitate programs and events that coincide with their philanthropic mission and the clients’ charitable interests.
The process is simple, when the property closes and transaction completes, 51% of the REALTOR’s® gross commission will be donated to the charity of the client’s choice (i.e. $10,000 commission = $5,100 donation to the charity). Project 51 will partner with the charity to conduct an event or program that will show measurable benefits to the community it serves.
* Client should name preferred charity (or charity providing referral) to serve as beneficiary of 51% donation upon initial contact of Project 51. Project 51 Team will approve of designated charity or suggest an alternate charity that Realtor and Client will agree upon prior to entering into Realtor-Client agreement.
